Oh here's a msg I got from...I forget who...on how to make gifs.
Oh it's pretty easy actually. I'm no expert in animation but really all you need is an editing program (even paint will work) and a gif animator (I use Picasion.com). Like if you want to make a simple two-frame animation for example like this one: [link]

1.You draw the picture you want as the first frame. (Which is the frame we're the little guy is standing up in the pot.)

2.Make sure you save that as a png file and name it something like "Frame 1".

3.Since the second frame will be the same guy only sitting in the pot, all you need to do is just make a selection of the part you want to be animated and move it down a little as desired. It may take some trial and error and some minor editing, but it's worth it right?

4.Now this is important...save the altered frame as a separate png file and name it something like "Frame 2" because it is needed to complete the animation.

5.Open a gif animator (Picasion.com is a bit simpler and easier/free). It should have slots for to upload your frame. For each slot upload the frame you made in the order you wish.

6.There should be a box asking for the size of your frame. Since the example avatar is made for DA, select advanced and it will have box where you put the width of the avatar (which is 50x in this case).

7.There is a box for speed, you can select the speed you wish to have for your avatar.

8. Then click on Create animation. It will take you to a page to show you your newly animated gif. If you're not happy with the results, you can always go back and change the settings.

9.When you are happy with your results, right click on the pixel and select save as. Make sure you name your avatar and YOU MUST save it as a gif file or else it will not be animated.

10.Go hog wild with your animated creations!

Sorry if it sound like an instruction manual...I'm not really good with explaining things but I try to explain ever detail as clearly as possible. I'm not really good with animated sprites but if you need more help or better instructions, there are plenty of good tutorials out there that can be of much more help--->[link]
